Surprise box subscription

Conceptual project - with two other group members Ragini Jain and Madhu Toppo Guided by Assistant Professor Ms. Surbhi Ahuja

The journey started for addressing the concern of disconnect among age group 45-65 years and explore various engagement areas which can help solve the issue of continuous hollowness due to lack of attention and a need of being valued.

The project was directed towards  building an application cum service of a surprise gift box , 'Hap- a Pac' aiming to provide engagement and value addition by helping them pursue their hobbies and create loved communities.

Process Followed

Setting Objective

After studying various factors of stress, the project was converged to Empty Nest Syndrome faced by parents in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities

Secondary Research

The issue was further studied with secondary data from various sources, which was also validated by running a pilot test with parents and millenials.

Primary Research

Sample set: The sample set was defined by parameters mentioned below:

●Parents whose children stay away from them

●Female Population  of age group 45-65 years (pilot studied indicated the issue is comparatively less in men)

●Literate Females

●Urban population of North Indian cities (convenience)

 

Research Methodology:

In - depth interviews with mothers were conducted both telephonic and face-to-face, they were made to analyze and identify area of intervention to bring in engagement in their lives.
